FAQ -What if I don't know the value of my house?

Short Answer: Not a problem, just estimate when filling out the form.

Longer Answer: At this stage you do not need an exact value of your home an estimate will do. The reason that this question is asked is because some lenders offer better deals according to the value of the house. Your advisor will be able to give you more details. If you are remortgaging you house you new lender will do a valuation of you home as this is required by them. However if you are considering selling it might be worth contacting a local estate agent who will do a detail valuation of you home. As they should know the local area you will receive a market value estimate for you home which may differ from the estimate the lender gives you, but don't worry about this, it is quite normal and nothing to worry about.
