According to a report by the Stroud & Swindon Building Society, the average cost of a property for first time buyers will reach £1m by 2024. This is based on the assumption that current growth trends are set to continue for the foreseeable future.

Predictably, London is expected to see the first £1m average first-time property, by 2018 according to the report.

On top of this, Northern Ireland is now likely to experience average first-time house prices in excess of £1m much sooner than previously thought.
