Balance Transfer Credit Cards

Credit card firms are increasingly clawing back money from customers known as "rate tarts", research has shown.

According to a recent survey many of the leading credit card companies are now charging customers to transfer their balance. "Rate Tarts" as the industry affectionately calls them are people who move their balance from card to card making use of the generous interest free periods.

However there are still many card companies that offer an introductory interest free period, for example Egg offer 5 months interest free every years on the anniversary date that you got your card. So if you are prepared to work at it you can still be a "Rate Tart" but be warned your days may be numbered...
