A kinder loan with the Co-operative Bank

The world of personal finance can often leave those with a social conscience with some serious qualms. However, this does not have to be the case with the Co-operative Bank personal loans.

The Co-operative Bank does not invest in any government or business that has links to or operates despotic practises or those states with a dubious human rights record. The bank is supported in these endeavours by Ethical Investment Research Services (EIRIS).

With such impressive principles, it is easy to see why a loan with the Co-operative Bank should be anyone's first choice. The rate for a personal loan is 7.2 per cent APR typical and any amount from £2,000 to £25,000 can be borrowed.

For loans between £2,000 and £2,950, the rate is 15.9 per cent APR typical. Payments can be spread over one to seven years.

The Co-operative Bank also provides a flexible loan, where the customer can decide exactly when they want to access their funds. A minimum of either three per cent or £25 can be repaid each month, depending of what is the larger amount.

The flexible loan has a rate of 13:9 per cent APR typical and a flexible loan cheque option for amounts over £500 is also available.
